swept the world away in a flood

that sped my heartbeat
and burned like fire in my blood
the move that came next
had the essence of sex
his hands slowly slide up my sides
it came to a head
when he leaned in and said

before I could accept
I fell into step
as he raced across the dance floor
he turned to me
smiling mischievously
took my hand and made for the door
cool air on hot skin
couldn't help but grin
